Our residency intensives offer an unique opportunity to spend focused periods of time immersed in a vibrant community of passionate artists, guided by experienced mentors. Whether you seek to master the exhilarating freedom of the tablao language or embark on a creative journey exploring flamenco’s boundless possibilities, our intensives provide the ideal environment to flourish.

Tablao Immersion
A journey into the authentic world of flamenco interactive and semi-improvised performance. To make the most of this residency, participants should have prior solo performance experience with live musicians and singers, as well as a solid repertoire of musical and choreographic material ready to refine and expand upon.

- Multidisciplinary focus: Ideal for dancers, singers, guitarists, and percussionists seeking to expand their artistic vision and skills.
- Stage experience: Gain invaluable performance skills and confidence with stage preparation and daily tablao simulations, culminating in live public performances.
- Expert guidance: Learn from experienced mentors through intensive daily workshops, group sessions, one-on-one coaching tailored to your artistic journey, and more.

To ensure a consistent and strong foundation for all participants, this residency intensive is open exclusively to those who have completed or are currently enrolled in the ‘Flamenco Guide*’ online.
If you have taken Comprehensive Flamenco Studies (CFS) as part of flamencoMAPS programming, this class requirement is considered fulfilled.

Summer 2024 in Action
June 30th to July 8th – Windhover Center for the Performing Arts
Windhover Tablao Residency
This residency intensive took place from June 30th to July 8th in the rustically beautiful setting of Windhover Center for the Performing Arts, Rockport (MA), about an hour north of Boston. Designed for dancers, guitarists, and singers who wanted to go deeper into improvisation and performance in the authentic tablao style.

UNITED FLAMENCO TERTULIAS
Monthly online FREE gatherings
Tertulias are traditional flamenco gatherings, often held in a Peña Flamenca (flamenco social club) and they provide a unique opportunity to explore the art form in depth from every angle. Join a community of passionate flamenco lovers for engaging discussions, and a deeper appreciation of the flamenco culture.
