→ DANCERS: One full baile (any length) from beginning to end. No group videos, please! Videos of in performance, in informal settings, etc. are fine. Make sure you have some indication of compás or music (palmas, cajón, recorded music, live music…) → GUITARISTS: One video of rhythm and falsetas in 3 different palos. One of the palos must be Alegría and you must record a silencio. Please elaborate for at least 1 minute in each palo. → SINGERS: One video of 2 letras (and coletillas when applicable) in 3 different palos. Make sure you have some indication of compás or music (palmas, cajón, recorded music, etc.)

About Windhover

Windhover is located in Rockport, MA, near the North Shore and right on Cape Ann. Housing is SHARED (ie: shared sleeping quarters, shared restrooms and shared kitchen). The campus is situated on 4 1/2 acres of land with meadows, woods, outdoor garden areas and plenty of parking space.

Being hosted together and sharing space, meals, struggles and victories are all part of this immersive experience. If collective living is not for you, you may find your own accommodation in the Rockport area, at your own expense. Please note that you will also be responsible for travel to/from the Windhover campus each day.

*The Residency period is during high-season in Rockport, MA where Windhover is located. The average rate for accommodation ranges between $130 and $300/night

How do you expect to travel?

Depending on everyone’s plans, we may be able to arrange for pick up/drop off at Boston Logan Airport and/or Boston South Station (Amtrak). More details regarding arrival/departure times from Windhover will be provided at a later date.

Food, Meals and Access

Windhover has a large kitchen with just about everything needed to prepare meals. We will provide general items such as coffee, olive oil, salt/pepper…

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are at your expense. We will make periodic grocery runs (at the beginning and as needed) throughout the residency week(s).

Some of the evening meals will be provided and prepared by us. Please tell us about any dietary preferences/restrictions you have.

Fees and Expenses

The fee for one week of residency at Windhover is $2,750.00, which includes all pre/post residency online classes, housing, daily classes, and performances.

A non-refundable deposit of $275 is required to hold your place no later than Monday, March 3, 2025.

Travel and food expenses are the artists’ responsibility. A few group dinners will be provided, details TBD.

Payment plans and a small pool of funds will be available to help subsidize the program costs. If you require financial assistance, please comment in the space below (“Is there anything else you would like us to know”). We will get back to you with details!
